Semble is looking for an amazing, passionate and energetic person to support us in nurturing the community, and connecting it with projects and campaigns.

1. What is the purpose of this role?

Our community is thriving, with new projects and volunteers signing up every week, and new campaigns launching.

Therefore we need someone to help us make sure that we can deliver our purpose-led campaigns to the highest possible level.

2. What will the job be like?

Most of your time will be providing support to Semble’s delivery teams to deliver our growing portfolio of purpose-led projects and campaigns.

The role will also provide a real opportunity to learn; working closely with the delivery team, attending client meetings and helping out, or representing us at events.

More specifically;

❏ Working closely with our Campaign Delivery team

❏ Playing a vital role in supporting the team to deliver our projects and campaigns

❏ Helping source community projects to receive funding or volunteers from our campaigns

❏ Attend meetings with partners, funders and clients

❏ Visit community projects and attend volunteering days

❏ Gain diverse experience assisting on the day to day delivery of our high-impact campaigns

❏ Providing content for social media

❏ Coming up with ideas about how we can get even better at all of this

3. What are you like?

Most importantly, you will have bags of energy and enthusiasm, and be a joy to work with. That is an essential part of this role, so please think carefully about whether this is really you before you apply.

You will always be willing to get stuck in, and be comfortable with admin tasks, but excited by the genuine opportunity to do more.

You need to be comfortable using the Internet, a proud digital native and social media aficionado. You’ll need to be really happy to pick up the phone and chat to people, and have good attention to detail.

You will have at least one year’s demonstrable experience in a similar project or campaign focused role, ideally working with a similar type of organisation.

You will have excellent spoken and written English.

You need to be comfortable using various tools including Microsoft Office and G-Drive, and expeirence with Slack, Trello and Harvest will be an advantage but not essential. However qucikly being able to learn how to use new tools is essential.

We run projects such as #BackyardNature (a campaign to encourage young people and families to protect their patch), #MadeLocal (a campaign to provide much needed resources to grassroots projects and initiatives throughout the UK), #GreenerwithGreggs (an environmental fund for Greggs), #GivexCollaborate (a team-based volunteering campaign for Dentsu Aegis Network), #YourPintCan (a neighbourhood investment fund for Carling), and Outdoor Classroom Day (a global day to get over 20m children outdoors to learn & play at school, in partnership with Unilever and a network of NGOs). Last year we ran the Offline Festival for community businesses.

In this role, you will be working closely with the Head of Campaigns and Campaign Leads. You will have significant opportunities for personal development and play an important role in developing and nurturing our campaign portfolio and online community.

We have a lot of fun, with drinks evenings, picnics & team away days. Community volunteering is actively encouraged with each team member having 3 days per year to volunteer.

• £22k – £25k depending on experience
• Central London or Bristol location, with option of working remotely for some of the time
