Ford Britain Trust funding for local communities


The Ford Britain Trust is providing grants to help communities across the UK, with a focus on projects working in education, environment, disabilities, and children and young people. They are keen to fund projects that provide clear benefits to the local communities close to their UK locations.

Grant applications are considered for the following purposes:

  • Contributions to capital projects (e.g. refurbishments)
  • Capital expenditure items (e.g. furniture/equipment/computers)
  • Contribution towards the purchase of new vehicle (maximum grant £3,000)

What They Fund

Area: Across the UK, however projects near Ford Motor Company Limited / FCE Bank plc operations are given a higher weighting:

  • Essex (including East London)
  • Bridgend (South Wales)
  • Southampton
  • Daventry
  • Manchester
  • Liverpool

Suitable for: Registered charities, schools/PTAs (non-fee paying schools only), and non-profit organisations (including small clubs and societies).

Funding size: Up to £250 for the small grant programme and up to £3,000 for the large grants programme

Application deadline: Small grants:  30th June 2021 / Large Grants: 31st July 2021
