MAKE SOME NOISE LIVERPOOL – Publishing and Partnering to Strengthen Your Story

Are you a changemaker in the Liverpool Area? Do you have a great project that others need to hear about? Ever tried (and failed) to get your story published? Make Some Noise Liverpool is for you. Come along to connect with like-minded people, upskill your storytelling with local editors from magazines and newspapers and find partners and projects to collaborate with.

    Date: Wednesday, 27 November 2019

Where: Make CIC, 34 Regent Street, North Docks. L3 7BN

    Time: 3pm – 8.30pm

3pm panel and workshop: £3 tickets (concessions available)

6.30pm networking drinks in the Make CIC bar: free entry

    SCHEDULE:

The panel discussion will open a conversation about:

    • What newspaper and magazine editors look for when editing a story
    • How to get their attention & build a media relationship
    • Different ways to tell a successful story

During this session, we’ll explore how to get your story published in editorials like Semble’s bimonthly Liverpool Echo page. Plus how to use other tools and online platforms to attract the support, funding and volunteers you need to grow your project and amplify your impact.

In between networking sessions by the bar, we’ll run an interactive workshop to create connections and collaborations. This is an opportunity to bring together people and projects from across the Liverpool Area to explore ways they can create partnerships that strengthen their project and reinforce each other’s message.

If you’re involved in the community, social or environmental sector and want to arm yourself with the knowledge, understanding and tools you need to take advantage of the power of storytelling, then this event is for you!
