On the 24th August 2019 (Saturday), The East Lincolnshire Down Syndrome Family Support Group made Tomato Swirls.

This helps the kids with Down Syndrome- and the siblings!- to develop an independent, important life skill: cooking. These Tomato Swirls help with the skill of preparing a meal, following instructions and having fun!

In this session we caught up with everyone we hadn’t seen over the summer and had even more fun! It was packed with activities before we made the Tomato Swirls and afterwards.

The Tomato Swirls were fun and easy to make using pastry, tomato sauce, cheese and basil leaves. After the adults cooked them, they were placed in a box with our names on to take home.
