So, we have just received some funding from our local One Stop Shop for some seeds, pots, compost to grow seeds, and then give out the seedlings to the local community.

We did this last year, during lockdown, almost by accident when we ended up with too many seedlings to plant. It was a great success and naturally our table became a plant swap as well and an information stop.

With a bit of funding we have bought a bike trailer so that we can create 4 more plant swaps and use the trailer to drop items between them.

We also plan to produce a cook book later in the year with lots of inspiration of recipes to use the veggies people have grown.

Finally, if and when we are out of lockdown we want to run a series of workshops on growing, feeding, pests, harvesting and finally cooking the foods.

We have just started and many pots with germinating seeds are in the shed… Looking forward to the Spring and Summer.

If we have money left over, we are keen to support wildlife friendly gardening with wild flower seeds and plants to giveaway, and may be some useful tips on line.
