St Luke’s Parochial Trust is a well-established, modern charity providing services, community events, and projects in the vibrant Old Street area of south Islington.
At the heart of what we do is a large community centre that welcomes over 100,000 visits each year.We have a vacancy for a Community Gardening Worker, £30,000pa pro rata, 24 hrs pw – 1 year fixed term contract.
The worker will encourage local people of all ages to get involved in community gardening and food growing activities, maintain and develop gardening clubs and workshops, manage St Luke’s outdoor spaces including our chicken coop and supervise sessional tutors and volunteers.
The successful candidate will have significant experience of delivering community gardening activities and events, have worked with diverse communities and have excellent communication and volunteer management skills.
