In December 2019 we celebrated hitting the milestone of the 100th cake referral we have received since May 2019 when we first started baking birthday cakes for children who live in the City of Southampton whose families are for reasons of financial hardship, illness or disability unable to provide their child with a birthday cake.

It’s been extremely rewarding being able to help make the birthdays of so many children a special day for them especially as many of them wouldn’t otherwise have a birthday cake – something most of us take for granted.  The kids are able to specify what flavour cake they want and what theme they want so each cake is completely personalised for the child.

We’ve also been able to provide some valuable volunteer experience for a number of local people to help them build up their CV and work experience.  The Greggs4Good campaign has been a huge help in enabling us to provide necessary ingredients forthe baking of the cake and cake boards and boxes for the cake delivery so that people on low incomes have been able to participate in the project.

Our incredible bakers have gone from strength to strength over the course of the past 9 months producing some truly amazing cake creations of which this cowboy and indian themed beauty by baker Becky is the 100th cake!
