Sweet peas from Bishop’s Palace vegetable plot.

    Update

We hope you are all keeping well. After a rather wet start to the month everything is now growing well, including the weeds! We’ve had a great garlic and onion crop which are now carefully drying out in the greenhouse before storing for the winter and the summer fruiting raspberries and strawberries have just started to ripen and taste delicious!

The borders at The Bishop’s Palace Garden vegetable plot are looking stunning at the moment, full of astrantias, sweet peas, hardy geraniums, cosmos and lychnis coronaria. Thankfully our amazing team of volunteers are keeping up with the endless task of deadheading to help them continue to bloom throughout the summer.

We had a very successful open day with lots of visitors popping in and produce taken. It was so good to see the community gardens full of people again after the past year!

With the new relaxing of restrictions we are now able to run our normal gardening sessions again. Please contact us to book a session as all sessions must currently be booked in advance, thank you.

Regular gardening sessions –  please contact us for availability.
