Ready Steady Go supports young children with autism in Monmouthshire, South Wales. The children who attend the weekly activity and school holiday club are now enjoying regular horse riding small group sessions and annual passes to Perrygrove narrow gauge railway, offering hours of fun for all the families.
Children with autism often struggle in new environments and by offering the annual passes allowing unlimited rides on the trains, families can visit Perrygrove regularly.
Equine therapy can have a very positive calming effect on children with autism, and now the children are able to experience regular horse riding sessions in supported small groups.
These activities have been provided with the Greggs Foundation Grant and both are having a positive and beneficial effect on the families from Ready Steady Go.
