Much model making and another public outing under our belts and it’s time for a belated update.

First a piece of board was cut to size…

    Then strengthened…

A box of roof tiles was cut to size…

The tiles were then attached to the board…

The tiles were attached just in time for our third public outing to an event in Ellesmere Port.  The model went down really well attracting lots of interest.  With cool ambient temperatures the images through the thermal camera were clear.

After the event, further modelling has taken  place with two sides constructed …

A coat of paint has been applied…

With the roof nearly there, the focus has shifted to the heating pipe system. The aim is to replace  cups filled with hot water with copper pipes that can be filled and drained as needed. First a water inlet was fashioned…

Pipes were then cut to size shaped and jointed …

    A drain valve selected…

A duplicate pipe was created so there was one for each semi and these were then installed…

The new heating system is now subject to testing ahead of our fourth planned event in Heswall in a week’s time.  Watch this space for further updates.
