About the fund

Area: The UK.

Suitable for: Charities, not-for-profit companies, Community Interest Companies, unincorporated clubs or associations.

Funding size: Between £250 and £1,000.

Application deadline: 20th August 2021.

As we move into summer and social distancing restrictions (are due to) ease, the Asda Foundation is offering a new grant fund targeted at reuniting communities, celebrating togetherness, and supporting groups as they resume their activities in person again.

The ‘Bringing Communities Back Together’ fund will provide financial aid to local groups that are either planning a celebration event (following social distancing guidelines) or that are getting their activities and services back on track in person. Groups who cannot physically be back together, but whose activities are still open and available to the community, may also be included in this award.

If government guidelines change and Covid restrictions return, this grant round will be paused. The Foundation will communicate with all groups and community champions to advise what the next steps will be.

Application forms are only available from your local Asda store. Once you have completed your sections of the form, it must be returned to that Store’s Asda Community Champion, and, if all criteria are met, they will forward it to the Asda Foundation for consideration. Applications can be submitted from 3rd June until 20th August 2021. Use the Asda Store Locator to get in touch with your local store and speak to your Community Champion.
