Like everyone, we are thinking about how we might need to adjust the way we work to adapt to the current concerns around the spread of the Covid 19 coronavirus.

Semble recognises that many of our community partners bring people together, including those from some of the groups that can experience more severe symptoms such as older people, and those with long-term conditions that cause weakened immune systems.

Our advice to all our partner organisations is to ensure you are considering the health of your staff, volunteers and participants at all times. Ensure you are following good hand, face and respiratory hygiene at all times, and call 111 if you are concerned you may have the virus.

You should consider how you can improve hygiene at your project base and might also consider drafting your own communications to those involved in your projects about the changes you are putting in place.

There is no current UK government advice to cancel events or gatherings, but we recommend you consider this decision for yourself, based on what you feel best supports your group’s needs.

Please also make sure you are monitoring the following webpages regularly for the latest advice:

Government: COVID-19: guidance for employers and businesses

NHS: Coronavirus (COVID-19)

PHE: Coronavirus (COVID-19) – what you need to know

As the above is very general advice and doesn’t cover the specific situations that Semble partners will be dealing with, we recommend you also seek advice from similar groups and organisations working in your field, to see what steps they are taking.
